Good morning everyone, long time no see! I've had a bit of a break but I'm back with my DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop
I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend, I don't know what it's like where you are but it's done nothing but rain here in the North East :-(
I am sure this card will brighten up your day though.
I've used the gorgeous Under the Sea pad from Doodlebug, I just love the bright candy colours of Doodlebug and this pad is no exception. It's out of stock at the moment but you can email Kitty or leave a message in the Facebook Group to see when they will be back in stock.
For the large circle I've used the Stitched Circle Scallop Frames from Dienamics and embellished with some mini buttons.
The flower vase and sentiment stamp are both from the Paper Smooches Best Buds stamp set and I've coloured them with Copics to match the colourful papers and mounted them with foam pads.
Now if that doesn't cheer you up on this dreary day nothing will !
I hope you all enjoy what's left of the bank holiday weekend.

Doodle Buds
Thursday 10 March 2016 Labels: Copics, Doodle Buds, DT Work, My Mum's Craft Shop, WPlus9
Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well.
I'm here today with my latest DT card for My Mums Craft Shop and I'm a bit late to the party as I normally have this post scheduled in advance but I got up early this morning to frantically type it because I seem to be lost with what day it is lately....it must be my age lol!
Today I am showcasing the amazing Doodle Buds stamp set by WPlus9 which is available here.
This is such a versatile set with loads of mix and match options for you to create some gorgeous projects.
For my card I decided to stamp myself a background using the various elements. I stamped randomly onto a piece of cardstock and then cut it down to fit my card. Everything has been coloured with Copics, including the blue background, which was done using B000. I've gone around the edges of the flowers with B00 to highlight them and added some dots around with the tip of the pen. I matted my completed panel onto pink cardstock.
It's hard to tell from the picture but I've added glitter to the centres of the flowers and the effect looks amazing.
If you enjoy colouring then this is the card for you. You could even make your own colouring pages ! I have got a few stamped up ready so that if I don't fancy making a card I can just relax with a bit of colouring.
That's all from me for today, I can breathe a sigh of relief now I'm up to date.
Have a great Thursday.

Hey everyone I'm here today with some inspiration for you :-)
Did I tell you how much I adore these images and how beautiful they are to colour. I chose to work with the fantastic Flower Picking digi for my card and she is available here.
After the dull and dark February days I thought it would be nice to see some brightness so I decided to go with some bright and zingy citrus colours to remind us that Spring is on the way soon. I've used a paper pad from Lili of the Valley although unfortunately I don't think they stock them any more.
My image is coloured with Copics to match my papers and I've matted all my layers onto bright orange cardstock to make them stand out a bit more. I know there probably isn't such a thing as a pink and orange mushroom (or at least I've never seen one) but I love the fact that crafting gives you artistic licence to colour anything any way you like!
I've die cut various flowers and leaves and embellished the centres with adhesive pearls and added my sentiment to finish off.
We have a couple of challenges running at the moment, both on the blog and on the Facebook page so be sure to join in for your chance of winning some fab digis from the store.
Have a great day

Blooming Birthday Wishes
Thursday 25 February 2016 Labels: Copics, Dienamics, DT Work, My Mum's Craft Shop, Stamping Bella Uptown Girls
Hi everyone and happy Thursday! I'm here today with my latest card for My Mum's Craft Shop
You may know I am a huge fan of Stamping Bella Uptown Girls and this beauty has to be one of my favourites to colour. This is Fiona Loves Flowers and luckily she has just come back into stock here so be sure to grab yourself one before she disappears again!
I decided on a red white and black theme to make the beautiful poppies stand out and I've coloured her in with Copics.
The animal print paper is from the My Favourite Things Wild Prints paper pad which is out of stock at the moment unfortunately but if you email Kitty she will be able to add it to her next order.
I've kept the embellishment quite simple with a felt flower made using the Dienamics Pretty Posies die and button stitched in the centre. This is always my go-to flower die, I think it's just stunning in its simplicity and looks so pretty layered up. I've hand cut a couple of green felt leaves to go with it and added a couple of red cardstock flags to finish off.
I couldn't decide whether to make it a Mother's Day card or a Birthday card so I went with Birthday in the end as I know I for one would love to receive this card for my birthday.
There are loads of fab new things arriving in the store at the moment so be sure to keep checking back to make sure you don't miss out!
Have a great day everyone.

Max the Monkey - Kitty Bee Spotlight Card
Wednesday 24 February 2016 Labels: Copics, DT Work, Kitty Bee Designs, Reverse Confetti
Hello there everyone I am here today to show you my spotlight card for Kitty Bee Designs, I hope you are all well :-)
Today I'm showcasing the extremely cute Max the Monkey digi. I'm a sucker for a cute monkey stamp and I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him. He is available to buy here from the Etsy store.
I've used various layers and die cuts in my design (as always lol) and because of this I can never do a 'quick' card. I can spend literally hours just playing about positioning paper and die cutting various bits and pieces until I am happy and this card was no exception.
Once I was happy with all my layering I stuck everything down and coloured little Max with Copics before fussy cutting him out and mounting him onto the card as my main focal point. I think he looks super cute sitting there with his banana!
I've added various faux stitching around my die cut elements with a white gel pen and finished off with a couple of buttons here and there for embellishment.
That's all from me for today, wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday.

Flying Bunny Birthday - Sasayaki Glitter Inspiration
Friday 19 February 2016 Labels: DT Work, Flying Bunny, Pink Petticoat, Sasayaki Glitter
Hello everyone and happy Friday!
Today I am showcasing the fabulous Flying Bunny digi from Sasayaki Glitter which I have used to make a cute pink and grey birthday card. She is available to buy here in the Etsy store, along with lots of other gorgeous digis that you won't be able to resist!
I'm a sucker for lots of layers on my cards and this is no exception so I sat and played with various bits of paper until I was happy with my layout before colouring my bunny in with Copics. I've added some polka dots to the balloon with a white gel pen and then I've fussy cut her before mounting onto my card with foam pads for a bit of extra dimension.
I've die cut a couple of clouds from white glittery cardstock (although this doesn't show up very well on the photo) and added a button and some pearls and ribbon to embellish.
If you haven't already, join our Facebook Group here where we have monthly challenges and fab freebies.
That's all from me today, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a lovely weekend.

You're Out of This World
Thursday 11 February 2016 Labels: DT Work, MFT Stamps, My Mum's Craft Shop, Watercolours
Hi everyone
It's my turn on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I've got something out of this world to show you!
I see so many amazing watercolour cards around at the moment and Rich bought me a set for Christmas so I thought I would give them a go and make a background.
It took me quite a few attempts until I was happy with it and I still need some practice but I thought it made a good 'outer space' backdrop for my card.
The stamps are all from the brand new February release by MFT called Out of This World and they are available here. I've coloured them with Copics and then fussy cut them before mounting them randomly onto my card with foam pads.
I think this is definitely going to be a popular set so grab yours now so you don't miss out.
That's all from me today. Have a great Thursday
